I stumbled upon this story, and I do love vampire romance, It's that whole eternal love thing. I was pleasantly surprised by these two stories. Yes, they were short, but I knew they were short. The writing was done very well, with no mistakes that I could find, but then again I was enthralled by the story and not looking for them. I don't have a lot of time anymore to read and so I do it before going to bed. I started in on this story, and was still reading a couple hours later with my eyes burning. I couldn't put the book down. The only thing that prevented me from giving this book a 5 star was the ending. I needed more. It was so well written, and I loved every part of it, but then it just ends. I want to have answers to all the things that were brought up. I have looked and don't see a continuation of the book, maybe it will come later, but this has been out a couple of years. Overall an excellent book, very well written, but leaves you wanting more.I'm editing my review from 4 star to 5 star because the book is now continuing. The only thing I didn't like was the unanswered questions. I can't wait to read the next book in this series.

Ehh....
This two short story combo is not only a great bargain for readers who love paranormal romance, especially vampires and werewolves, it is an intriguing and really suspense-filled read. I'd like to see a third story focusing on the vampire brothers.
I thought this story would be a short clean read but found that there were too many factors brought in which only muddied the story and didn't make me want to read a second 'book'. It had an interesting premise but didn't explore anything in any depth and felt more like the first chapter of a book not a stand alone short story.
This author could certainly produce a good quality novel with some editing assistance, the writing was fairly smooth and easy to read and the characters (at least initially) were fleshed out reasonably well.
I'll wait and see what else she produces before I scratch her of my authors list.
Great story and was just getting into it when it abruptly ended. I must have missed something. I think the story is great....
Buying a book on a , it's hard to know how long the book is going to be in "real" book time. I couldn't believe when the book ended. What happened to Rachel? Did she get away? Maybe I missed it? It was so short - but there were also other loose ends. Hopefully we'll get another book to see what happens to the new vampire.
I was completely immersed in the story from the first sentence. A great read with riveting prose and sexy vampires! I enjoyed the good vampire/bad vampire characters and the heroine is one of those I love to follow--strong and believable. Suspenseful action and haunting setting--this short story combo has it all.
I bought this simply because I was impressed that Ms. Devoti responded to another review and happily made changes to the story that the reader mentioned. I have never seen this from an author before. Kudos to her for responding to her readers! And the story was a quick, enjoyable read. I am happy I purchased this story and will gladly buy more of her stories.
